International Admission Timeline
Overseas Using WilmU I-20
- Fill out an online application.
- Submit all documents EXCEPT for I-20, I-94, visa and U.S. transcripts.
- International Staff will confirm eligibility and send the embassy packet to the student’s email.
- Student schedules a visa interview at a U.S. embassy.
- Student submits visa and I-20 showing WilmU was the school used to get the visa.
- Copy of I-94 must be submitted upon arrival in the U.S.
- Student is able to enroll in first courses.
- Student must complete orientation.
- Wait until the end of drop/add.
- Continued Attendance I-20 will be sent to the student's email, as long as the student has provided a U.S. address and phone number and the student is fully enrolled.
- Any unofficial transcripts or evaluations must be submitted officially within two semesters.
Overseas Using Another I-20
- Fill out an online application.
- Submit all documents EXCEPT for U.S. transcripts.
- International Staff will confirm eligibility and send Transfer Letters to the student’s email.
- Student is able to enroll in first courses.
- Student must complete orientation.
- Wait until the end of drop/add.
- Continued Attendance I-20 will be sent to student email as long as the student has provided a U.S. address; the student has had their SEVIS record released to WilmU; the student is fully enrolled.
- Any unofficial transcripts or evaluations must be submitted officially within two semesters.
Transferring from Inside the U.S.
- Fill out an online application.
- Submit all documents.
- International Staff will confirm eligibility and send Transfer Letters to the student’s email.
- Student is able to enroll in first courses.
- Student must complete orientation.
- Wait until the end of drop/add.
- Continued Attendance I-20 will be sent to student email as long as the student has provided a U.S. address; the student has had their SEVIS record released to WilmU; the student is fully enrolled.
- Any unofficial transcripts or evaluations must be submitted officially within two semesters.
